1860s Ball Gown.... Latest Project

Its been awhile,.... But my latest sewing project has been my 1860s Ball Gown. Have you noticed I have a weakness?
Perhaps its dancing...
I bought the fabric many years ago on walmart clearance. You know, that $1 a yard craze...
Its polyester, I'm sure.. Something of the nature, and has a lovely shininess to it...

The skirt I made many years ago, with said fabric, and used it with white blouses and a black satin belt. The belt had a plastic pearly looking, big ol' buckle on it...

Here is a shot of me and some(yes I say SOME!) of my sisters. :) We are being slightly dramatic.
I made the two peachy gowns, as well as my plum purple gown.

We reenact at the Fort Scott National Historic Site, and almost(ALMOST) every year they have a Victorian style dance...

Another beautiful shot... Here, we are being very dramatic...

Cheers!
